Ivan Osorio was born in Colombia in 1966, he started studying arts at age 16, at the Fine Arts institute in Medellin, he graduated with honors in 1989 with a degree in advertising graphics and design.

From 1988 through 1992, he attended the school of Fine arts Eladio Velez V. Where he kept perfecting in drawing and sculpture with the master sculptor Gabriel Restrepo.

Ivan moved to southern California in 1993 to achieve his goal: the art of sculpting. In 1994 he enrolled at Fullerton College where he studied sculpture, three dimensional art, and metal casting techniques with the well-known sculptors Mitchell Van Ry and Don Treadway.

His works evolve from his spiritual beliefs, inspired by the coast living he created the fisherman series.

In 1999 Ivan discovered the world of print making, he learned all the thecnics ant took instruction at Miami dade Comunity college, later in year 2000 he traveled to silver spring Maryland and enrolled al Montgomery College to  be specialized  in Stone Lithography.

In 2005. Ivan moved to Hawaii, there he was commissioned to create two monumental marble sculptures, Cesar Augustus and Livia Drusilla, through 2011 Ivan lived and worked in Hawaii,  he created the hawaiiana series.

In 2011 ivan moved back to florida, he started studying and making  jewelry in 2015 becoming this his new passion into the art. Since, to the present Ivan lived and work in Hollywood, florida.

From 2001 through 2005 Ivan lived in Miami Florida. There he created the Doral Arts Festival supported by the Rotary International Club, in 2001 he presented in one man show the exhibition “ Honoring the woman”. On 2003 Ivan along with a group of international artists had created the Art Factory.
